WHATABABY! A Whataburger Themed Party

I am officially the mother to a ONE YEAR OLD! I can not believe this, and trust me I am crazy emotional.

My baby makes me a proud mama daily, and is growing so fast I just can’t keep up. He’s running, climbing, pointing, yelling mama every second and I just can’t complain either.

To celebrate this star baby, I chose a theme that’s a little different than most one year old parties – whataburger.

His dad and I visited whataburger on our first date! Romantic, right? We were 17 and 18 and balling on a budget, so whataburger was the move. Who knew it would be our son’s birthday party theme 6 years later!

Here are all the details you need to plan the perfect whataburger party!

Keep reading to see all the party details – from outfits and decor to the cake! You’ll be surprise just how fun a whataburger themed birthday party can be. Even if you choose a different theme, there may be some details you hadn’t thought of!

Cake Pops

I was seriously floored by these custom cake pops. When I first approached Sweet Thumb Confections about creating a cake pop for our whataburger themed party, I initially just had the burger idea in mind. She went above and beyond and added the logo and varying cake pops and I am so grateful! The details on these pops were to die for.

Birthday Cake

Our custom cake was created by Aly V Cakes, based in Garland. Aly walked me through the whole process and choose everything about my cake! I’ve used her a ton for events and she always impresses everyone with her made from scratch cakes. Cake toppers were provided by Whataburger.

We had a balloon wall created by That Balloon Chik and I could not have been happier. We opted to use this wall as a background for photos and not as part of the dessert area decor. It was so gorgeous it needed to be taken advantage of fully! LaMonica’s work was flawless and she even added my son’s name to the decor! Whataburger provides the props for the photo area and the logo balloons.

Our venue had tons of different seating, which made it great for a casual party without a formal meal. I knew I wanted a little something special though, so I teamed up with Petit Seating TX to get the perfect mini seating for our tiny guests! Petit Seating brought in their all white modern mini table set and it was great for our theme.

Table Placements

Whataburger made our day by providing us with a complete Whataburger birthday package! This gave us 12 table placements, logo balloons, party hats, a banner, and photo props!

We had a burger bar, of course! We grilled patties and set out all the possible condiments and ingredients so guests could create their own burger and grab some chips. We also couldn’t miss out on using whataburger sauces and ketchup!

Final details

Lola Entertainment really gave us an extra touch to our celebration by creating custom water bottle labels based off of our party invitation! They looked great on our food table and everyone couldn’t stop talking about them.

Baby needed a custom T-Shirt! We had our whatababy tee printed by Branded BD2T. She got the logo perfect and added the classic #1 whataburger tent on the back!

Plan a Whataburger party for your little Whatababy!

We had so much fun planning this party out and celebrating our little one. A year ago he made me a mama and I wouldn’t change a thing. This little one has spent a year growing and forming his own mini personality, and I feel lucky to be able to watch who he grows up to be.
